Intro
Dr. Fouad Bahrpeyma (IEEE Member) is a postdoctoral researcher at HTW Dresden in the Smart Production Systems group. He received his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from Dublin City University, Insight Center for Data Analytics in 2020. He also holds an M.Sc. in AI and a B.Sc. in computer science. He supervises Ph.D., M.Sc. students and undergraduates and is a co-author/author of several journal articles, conference papers and book chapters in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
His research areas are mainly self-organizing systems, multi-agent reinforcement learning, deep learning, intelligent manufacturing systems, cognitive science, signal processing, and time series analysis. His current research focus is multi-agent reinforcement learning for decentralized management approaches and distributed robot control in intelligent manufacturing systems, and brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) for developing brain-controlled robotic systems. He is involved in several R&D projects such as CLEVER and CASO.
