Project Lab X - the Startup Lab
What is the Lab X?
Lab X is the interdisciplinary ideas workshop for all HTWD members. Here there is space for creative, conceptual work, prototyping and the testing of demonstrators to promote spin-offs and start-ups. Our lab expands the technical infrastructure, from manual workstations to 3D printers, to realize proof of principles for later start-up ideas.
Lab X also offers space for teaching and research as well as financial support in the pre-foundation phase. In addition, workshops, repair cafés and various other events are regularly organized for exchange and networking.
Our aim is to anchor the spirit of scientific innovation and entrepreneurship in the individual faculties in such a way that entrepreneurial thinking becomes a matter of course.

Insight Lab X
At Insight Lab X, you’ll get exclusive insights into the projects of the current KickStart teams!
In brief presentations, the teams will showcase their final or interim results. Everyone interested is warmly invited to come by, listen, and get inspired! After the presentations, there will be an opportunity for a relaxed exchange with and among the teams.
Join us and dive into the world of prototyping, start-ups, and above all – Lab X!

You have a defective device? You want to repair it instead of throwing it away? But you don't have the necessary tools, the expertise or just the muse? Then come by and repair it in our workshop! In a nice atmosphere, with like-minded people and our support, you can bring your technology back to life!

The Gründungsschmiede is your contact point for all questions regarding company formation and startup projects. Here you can meet experienced consultants, use top-equipped co-working spaces and exchange ideas with other founders. Together we will make your idea fly!
