University management

The Rectorate of HTW Dresden includes

• the Rector, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Katrin Salchert
• the Vice-Rector for Teaching and Studies, Prof. Dr. rer. pol. Anne-Katrin Haubold
• the Prorector for Research and Technology Transfer, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Gunther Göbel
• the Chancellor, Dipl.-Wirt.-Inf. Alexander E. Müller

The Rectorate manages the University and is responsible for the strategic development of the University. It prepares the decisions of the Senate und des University Council.  The tasks of the Rectorate are laid down in the Saxon Higher Education Freedom Act (§ 83 SächsHSG) festgelegt. The chairperson of the Rectorate is the Rector.
