Welcome to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering!

We offer Bachelor's and Master's degree programes. This is covered by the Bachelor's degree courses “Mechanical Engineering” and “Sustainable Engineering Sciences: Renewable Energy, Climate, Building Technology” as well as the Master's degree courses “Vehicle Technology” and “Applied Robotics”.

In our undergraduate Bachelor's degree program in “Mechanical Engineering”, students have the opportunity to specialize in three fields:
- Design Engineering
- Vehicle Technology
- Sustainable Manufacturing and Management.

In our undergraduate Bachelor's degree program “Sustainable Engineering Sciences: Renewable Energy, Climate, Building Technology”, you have the opportunity to train in areas of building systems engineering, e.g:
- Design and planning of technical building systems,
- use of renewable energies and
- automation of modern buildings.

In the Master's degree program „Vehicle Technology“ we offer special courses in the fields of commercial vehicle technology and accident analysis in addition to advanced vehicle technology modules.

The Master's degree program “Applied Robotics” Master's course encompasses an interdisciplinary training concept in the fields of electrical engineering, computer science and mechanical engineering.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is also home to the central physics department.

The faculty places a special focus on practical training with extensive laboratory capacities in engineering fundamentals and on cooperation with regional industry.
