Professorship
The Chair of Business Law, in particular Engineering and Technical Law is responsible for teaching in the subjects of law (W 093), design law (W 098), contract law (W 142), environmental law (W 324), engineering law (W 901, W 903, W 925) and technical law (W 932) as well as BGB I (FV 10), administrative law (FV 24) and BGB II (FV 30B).
Die Lehrveranstaltungen der Professur werden u.a. in den Bachelor-Studiengängen Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, Geomatik, Umweltmonitoring, Chemieingenieurwesen, Allgemeiner Maschinenbau, Fahrzeugtechnik, Betriebswirtschaft, im Master-Studiengang Produktgestaltung sowie im Fernstudium Vermessungswesen angeboten.
An der Professur werden Abschlussarbeiten in folgenden Themengebieten betreut: Datenschutzrecht im weitesten Sinne, eGovernment, Technikrecht, Medienrecht, Informationsfreiheit, Informationssicherheit und Umweltrecht. Weitere Themenvorschläge können gern unterbreitet werden.

- 2008 Doctorate (Dr. iur.) at the TU Chemnitz (Chair of Prof. Gramlich) on the topic of data protection in the information age
- 2002-2014 Research assistant at the TU Chemnitz, Faculty of Economics, Chair of Law I
- 2000-2002 Legal clerkship at the Regional Court of Chemnitz
- 1995-2000 Studied law at the TU Dresden
Interests
The main research/interest areas of the Chair of Business Law, in particular Engineering and Technology Law, include data protection law in the broadest sense, eGovernment, technology law, media law, freedom of information, information security and environmental law.
Prof. Kreul is a member of the examination committee.
