Professorship for Communication Networks and Cybersecurity

Connectivity, virtual communication and digitalization are the main global challenges of our time. Secure and highly available communication networks are a requirement. For exactly this reason, the professorship is dedicated to this question: How can communication networks be made more secure? The planning and design of communication networks (wired and wireless) as well as their operation are components of education and research.

I have been Professor of Communication Networks and Cybersecurity at HTW Dresden since September 2023.  My teaching activities are in the field of communication systems (wireless and wired) and their security. In the field of research, I have been working for many years on secure communication in the area of traffic telematics. My current focus is the detection of faults in communication networks using data from the physical layer.
