Work placement semester
The work placement semester or practical study period is a training period integrated into the degree programme that must be completed in a company, a research institution or a public authority. It serves to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the previous degree programme to the requirements of practice and familiarises students with the requirements and areas of application of future professional fields.
The practical semester is part of the 5th semester of the Bachelor/Diploma degree programme “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology”.
In the international Bachelor's degree programme “Electrical Engineering / Elektrotechnik”, the practical study section is included in the 8th semester.
