Introduction to Zotero

Zotero is a free, open-source reference management programme for collecting, managing and citing digital and printed media. The most important advantages of Zotero are

 

  • Platform-independent: Windows, Linux, MacOs
  • Can be used with various word processing programmes: Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, LibreOffice
  • Can be used with various browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Safari
  • App use for Android and iOS possible
  • Expandable through the integration of freely developed plug-ins
  • Collaborative work in teams possible after login or registration
  • Access to your own library from different devices possible

Training programme content

In this introductory course, you will receive a compact overview of the most important functionalities of Zotero. Among other things, you will learn how to install the software, create a bibliography, work with it, automatically create a bibliography in Word, for example, or cite using Zotero. You will then have the opportunity to ask your own questions.

The Citavi Campus licence expires in February 2025. You can find instructions for exporting your projects in the link list.
