About us

We are a public, academic library and central institution of the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.
 

The library is used for study, teaching and research, but is also open to all residents of Saxony for their professional and private education. The use of the library is free of charge. The collection is orientated towards the profile of the HTWD and has a clear economic and technical focus.

In addition to the central library on the Friedrich-List-Platz campus, our users also have access to a branch library for the ‘green’ degree programmes on the Dresden Pillnitz campus.

In recognition of its commitment to greater openness in science and society, the university library has held the Open Library Badge since 2020.
