The University Library is closed on bank holidays.
There are no library staff in the building from 18 o'clock on Mondays to Thursdays and from 15 o'clock on Fridays. During these times, we ask our library users to show their library card without being asked when entering the building. The following services are not available during these times:
- Registration, deregistration and re-registration
- Payment of fees
- Library information
- Collection of reserved media
- Sale of merchandise
Media can be borrowed and returned at the self-checkout desk in the foyer during all opening hours.

The branch library is closed on bank holidays.
In the Pillnitz branch library there is a return box in the cloakroom directly in front of the library entrance door. This is usually accessible on weekdays between 6 and 18 o'clock.
