Our French Modules
We offer you numerous French modules at levels A2 to C1 and prepare you specifically for your future tasks. The content and scope of the respective courses are based on the current study regulations for the individual courses. You can also take part in these courses as part of the Studium Integrale.

Four consecutive language modules of 4 SWS each (5 credits) for existing basic knowledge:
- S840: French A2 I in the 1st semester (winter semester)
- S841: French A2 II in the 2nd semester (summer semester)
- S842: Business French B1 I in the 3rd semester (winter semester)
- S843: Business French B1 II in the 4th semester (summer semester)
Alternatively, four consecutive language modules of 4 SWS each (5 credits) if you have advanced basic knowledge:
- S844: French B1 I in the 1st semester (winter semester)
- S845: French B1 II in the 2nd semester (summer semester)
- S846: Business French B2 I in the 3rd semester (winter semester)
- S847: Business French B2 II in the 4th semester (summer semester)
Alternatively, four consecutive language modules (with very solid prior knowledge) of 4 SWS each (5 credits), which are offered together with modules S844 to S847:
- S848: French B2 I in the 1st semester (winter semester)
- S849: French B2 II in the 2nd semester (summer semester)
- S850: Business French C1 I in the 3rd semester (winter semester)
- S851: Business French C1 II in the 4th semester (summer semester)
The level is assigned via a placement test before the first week of lectures.
Four language modules that build on one another, each with a basic knowledge of 4 SWS (5 credits):
- S740: French B1 I in the 1st semester (winter semester)
- S741: French B1 II in the 2nd semester (summer semester)
- S742: Business French B2 I in the 3rd semester (winter semester)
- S743: Business French B2 II in the 4th semester (summer semester)
Alternatively, four language modules that build on each other, each with a solid basic knowledge of 4 SWS (5 credits):
- S744: French B2 I in the 1st semester (winter semester)
- S745: French B2 II in the 2nd semester (summer semester)
- S746: Business French C1 I in the 3rd semester (winter semester)
- S747: Business French C1 II in the 4th semester (summer semester)
The level is assigned via a placement test before the first week of lectures. For students with any additional needs, we offer the bridging course S784 of 2 SWS in the winter and summer semester to prepare for the modules S740 ff. in parallel.
Students of Business Administration & Industrial Engineering from the 3rd semester can participate in the French courses of International Business, if the requirements are met.
Depending on your previous knowledge, you can take all mentioned language modules at levels A2 to C1.
