Professorship of Computer-Aided Cartography

My focus in teaching is on map design and coordinate reference systems, geo data visualisation, geoprocessing as well as 3D city models.

My research interests are directed towards modelling and visualising 3D city models and 3D terrain models, including subterranean building area.
Since the formation of the joint commission "3D city models" of „Deutschen Gesellschaft für Kartographie e.V., Gesellschaft für Kartographie und Geomatik“ and „Deutschen Gesellschaft für Photogrammetrie, Fernerkundung und Geoinformation e.V.“ in 2009 I work as an active member.
