Women@DDc

The DRESDEN-concept network, of which HTW Dresden is a member, has launched the Women@DDc network. The goal of the network is to make locally based top female researchers, young female scientists and potential candidates for leadership positions more visible. Regular events, professional and interdisciplinary inputs, such as lectures, workshops and networking formats are intended to promote networking among each other and between status groups.

The network addresses female scientists (PhD students, research assistants, lab engineers, postdocs, group leaders, junior professors, professors) from DDc institutions, from administration, science management, companies and cultural institutions.

Would you like to be part of the network?
Interested women are invited to join the network's LinkedIn group to exchange ideas and receive information about events and projects. Participation is also possible without joining the LinkedIn group. Upcoming events will be announced on this page. Alliance for Women in STEM Professions

HTW Dresden has been a partner of the Alliance for Women in STEM Professions since 2020. The nationwide initiative aims to inspire more girls and women to pursue STEM courses and professions. In view of the looming shortage of skilled workers, the potential of women for professions in science and technology is to be exploited. More than 300 partners from business, education and science, media and politics have joined the alliance and form a nationwide network for exchange and cooperation. As an alliance partner, the HTW Dresden is able to promote its own events, projects and job offers on the topic of MINT via the network. Specifically, the HTW Dresden would like to make the following contribution to the goal of the alliance:

  • inspire young women for MINT courses of study
  • present a realistic picture of scientific and technical courses of study and opportunities for women in this area
  • attract female graduates for careers in scientific-technical research institutions and companies
