About the STREAM project
Building the capacity of students to prepare for a sustainable, development-oriented regional labour market.
In the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region, the unemployment rate among university graduates is one of the highest in the world, which is a direct result of the mismatch between educational outcomes and labour market expectations. The aim of this project is therefore to develop a generation of graduates who are able to integrate effectively into a multicultural, diverse ecosystem and who have basic character, social and cognitive skills combined with academic competencies. A regional job portal where employers and students share their profiles and where both sides have the opportunity to engage in internships, summer jobs and capacity building programmes is an essential part of the proposed inclusive approach. In addition, the Gründungsschmiede of HTW Dresden, together with the project partners, develops Entrepreneurship Summer Schools and organises the anchoring of entrepreneurship skills acquisition modules in the MENA region.
